It’s about time that HP supported the other side of the market, Linux people. There’s so many people out there, like me, who just love to use Linux, but there’s always one thing in common with Linux users, compatibility. Sometimes, your hardware isn’t compatible with Linux. Altough in today’s world, that typically does not happen…
Apparantly HP is starting to sell their SUSE Linux desktops. Which I think this is a great thing… For many reasons.

1) 100% Support! The Linux community is huge! And one more reason, when you upgrade to a newer version of Linux, most likely your hardware will still work perfectly.

2) Compatibilty. I haven’t seen one device that wasn’t compatibile with Linux yet… There’s always a way to get something working in Linux…

3) It’s not made by Microsoft! Now this can be both good and bad, but the best thing is that your not paying much (if any) for the operating system.

4) Linux is very fast. Seriously, it really is! Doesn’t that make you want to use it?

But then of course theirs some cons with that. Like your games may not work, you miss some Windows applications, and many other reasons. But from my standpoint. HP is doing the right thing! What do you think? Other companies like Asus and Dell support Linux, at least on some of their machines!

I've been fascinated with technology my entire life. I started to pick up on aspects of web development (HTML and CSS) a long time ago and started to get into "real" programming soon after. Right now, you can catch me working with Objective C, making iPhone apps along with system administration, and security. I'm also interested in graphic design, having designed the entire Tech Cores theme myself.
