Logitech MouseIf you’re like me, you have lots of stuff all over your desk and wired peripherals often get in the way.  For the past year I’ve been using the Dell USB multimedia keyboard and mouse for my desktop computer, but last week I reached a breaking point.  Every time I’d move the mouse…the cord would catch on something and slow me down.

I did a little research and found what I believe to be the perfect mouse for me.  I’ve been using the LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse for the past day and I love it!  Setup was a breeze.  Just insert 2 AA batteries, plug in the USB receiver, and begin using.  If you want advanced functionality, the Logitech drivers/software can easily be found on Logitech’s website.  I would not recommend this mouse for gaming, but it is perfect for any day-to-day or even advanced computer users.

Here are the highlights provided on Logitech’s site:

Soft-Touch Sides:  Makes holding a mouse effortless.
Comfort Grip:  Enjoy an easy, natural grip that cuts down on fatigue.
Wireless Mini-receiver:  Plug it in for flawless wireless operation; eliminate unsightly cable clutter.
Forward/Back Buttons:  Accelerate browsing of Web pages and documents.
Longer Battery Life:  Extend it with auto standby, on/off button and indicator light.
High-definition Optical Engine:  Experience superior tracking with a 1000 dpi optical engine.
Tilt Wheel Plus Zoom™:  Scroll side-to-side. Effortlessly zoom in and out of photos and spreadsheets.

All-in-all, I love everything about this mouse.  It definitely makes my life easier.  In regards to my current wired Dell keyboard, I think I’ll keep it.  I love the keyboard and since I don’t often move it around, the wire isn’t that big a deal.  I could upgrade to the wireless version, but I refuse to pay $60 or more just to get rid of a wire.

If you were wondering, the LX7 retails for $39.99; although, I’m sure you can find it at a much better price on another site.  If you’re looking for an easy to setup, non-gaming, high quality, and comfortable mouse, the LX7 is for you.  If you have any questions feel free to ask.  I hope to have some more reviews on other products posted soon!
