Now that Intel based Macs can run Windows, can a Mac run Windows better than a PC?  This question always dug a hole in my brain, so I thought that now would be a great time to smooth it over, since I just got my first Mac.  I have the 2.53GHz 13 inch MacBook Pro, with 4GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, and the Nvidia GeForce 9400m graphics card with 256MB of GDDR3 RAM.  I left Mac OSX 10.6.2 Snow Leopard 190GB, and gave Windows the other 60GB or so.  Setting up Bootcamp was very easy, and only took about 30 minutes.  After the Windows installation was completed, there were very few drivers installed.  However, not to worry!  A DVD came with your Mac with all the drivers on it!  It’s the OSX install DVD.  Insert it in the Mac, and run the setup.  This will install all of your drives.  After this, be sure to run the Apple Software update to check for any updates published for your Mac in Windows.  When this is done, congratulations!  You now have one of the best PCs in the world.  The screen is incredible, very bright and colorful.  Speakers work great, as does wifi, the SD reader, and even the iSight camera.  Booting is quick, as with logging in and working around in Windows.

I’ve used Windows since 1995 with Windows 95, and I have gotten very used to it.  The Macs specs are easily better than my ThinkPad Z61t and Lenovo G550, so performance should be better.  It really is a lot better- better than I expected.  My experience index is a 5.3.  The processor merits a 6.1!  In my experiences, Windows runs just as stably and smoothly on a Mac as it does on a PC.  If I ever had to use Windows full time again, my MacBook Pro would be my trusty companion again.  It loves Windows, and Windows loves the Mac, naming it a MacBook Pro 5,5 in the system information window.  Again, all the drivers work, even the on screen display for the volume, backlight keyboard, and display brightness.  But, you would know that you’re not on a PC.  No PC in the world is as well built as a MacBook Pro.
