When we first made Tech Cores, back in November of 2008, it was really one man team. We’ve had Gerald and Marc join the team after that. But Tech Cores started to die down after a while because: 1) it was slow, 2) it needed a new design, and 3) it was hard to use (backend and frontend).
From that day on, one of my goals was to improve Tech Cores. I’ve spent a whole month coming up with a new design for the site and then developing that custom design. From my web experience, I was able to create a blog that has a vast amount of content while sustaining the loading time. Tech Cores is one of the fastest technology blogs out there. The huge issue with tech blogs is that we are “image happy” a lot of the time; we love to include lots of images in our posts. Because of this, I made it so that the Tech Cores theme, which was completely made from scratch, is a very small theme. The key of Tech Cores is to get the theme loaded quickly, then load the important stuff you want to see, the content. And unlike a lot of websites out there, our code is actually valid.
Because of the complete overhaul, I’m sure this helps people love Tech Cores even more. And you know what, we’re not stopping there. We will try to take Tech Cores as far as possible. After Ryan Schultz, Kennan Rolsen, and Jack Maxwell joined the team, the content on Tech Cores varies each day. But we’re also looking for more writers.
But that’s not all. The whole point of the blog post is what’s below. Below, there are two graphs that show how Tech Cores gained in popularity since day one. You might be able to figure out some of the “sparks” we had based on what happened during that time frame. I didn’t specify any Y (vertical) values because I do not want to release how many views we actually get. Instead, the graph will show you this without releasing that data to the public.
As you can clearly see from the unique visitors, we for sure have been very popular since these past few months. And you know what, we couldn’t of done it without all of you. You are the one who makes this possible in the first place. And for that, we cannot thank all of you enough. All of you Tech Cores writers, please keep up your excellent content! We have a current poll running to see what Tech Cores viewers want our writers to talk about. This should help all of us talk about the things people want to hear!
Just because we made it this far doesn’t mean we’ll stop. We’ll always try to get as many giveaways, reviews, and blog posts in as much as we can. But if you’re a company, please help us out with giving as a review copy of your software/hardware! And of course, please follow us on Twitter (@TechCores) to keep up to date with us! We will always try our best, but we always need your help! If you want us to talk about something, review something, or even discuss/debate/give our ideas on, hit us up on the contact page!
Again, we appreciate all your help and support! We honestly couldn’t of done it without you.
