I got my iPhone 3GS 16GB around Christmas and so far, I have been loving this phone. I’ve upgraded from the first generation iPhone and to me, this was a huge upgrade.

Compared to iPhone 3G, the 3GS looks no different from the 3G. The only difference is the iPhone text on the back. The 3G’s text was gray and the 3GS’ text is in a mirrored finish. The 3GS’ screen has an oleo phobic screen. The oleo phobic screen repels oils and fingerprints decently. You would still have to clean the screen once in a while. The 3GS finally has Voice Control and it’s decent. You must be in a quiet room for the iPhone to understand your commands. With Voice Control, The main difference from the 3G to the 3GS is the internals.

Apple has beefed up the internals on the 3GS. The new 3GS has a Samsung S5PC100 ARM Cortex-A8 Processor under clocked from 833 MHz to 600MHz, 256 MB of RAM, Digital Compass, and 16GB or 32GB capacities. With the beefed up specs, the overall performance  is excellent. Everything on the iPhone loads so much quicker compared to the older iPhones.

Currently, you can get the iPhone 3GS in two capacities, 16GB for $199 or 32GB for $299. This phone is exclusive to AT&T in the US, O2, Vodafone, and Orange in the UK.
