The Playstation Move was announced in March at Sony’s GDC 2010 press conference. Move is basically a game that comes with a ‘wand’ (Wiimote) and the ‘arc’(Nunchuk). They are releasing the starter kit in late 2010 which comes with the game with many different mini games, the ‘wand’ and ‘arc’, and the Playstation Eye.

The buttons are pretty much the same as an ordinary Six-axis or Dualshock 3 controller. Unlike the Wii, the two controllers for the Move are wireless. So you don’t have to deal with the annoying cord every time u swing them. You can also buy the ‘wand’ in different colored ‘light bulbs’ as well. You can choose between a blue, green, yellow, or pink sensor. Now, Sony claims that the Move is way more sensitive than the Wii Motion Plus. The reason is because if you have a Playstation Eye, The sensor on that picks up the the other sensor on the on the wand. But if you don’t have the Playstation Eye, it will still be very accurate.

Sony says that the starter kit is going to be under $100 in late 2010. Read above for what comes with the starter kit in case you haven’t looked yet. I know for a fact this this is going to be Project Natal’s biggest competitor. We can’t say anything until each product has been released. I am going to buy Move for sure, and after a week or so of using it, look for a full review here on Tech Cores.
