Gowalla is part of a new idea floating around the web about social location. Social location is a mix between social networking, but involves your location as well. So this is just a quick little update on one of the sites called Gowalla (http://gowalla.com). Gowalla involves pins and friends and achievments, and turns social location into a little game. You “check in” to places you go, and it tracks where you go by GPS on your Android phone or iPhone using their apps, or use Gowalla on any other phone by going to their mobile site, m.gowalla.com. It is very addicting to see where your friends are going for dinner or what bar everyone is going to around you. It is a good way to track where your friends are going and what little achievements they have picked up. So go check out Gowalla and add me at http://gowalla.com/user/WebReddy.

Nice write-up. Glad you’re enjoying it. BTW — Gowalla has Palm app, too.
And it may be worth mentioning that a couple of the most well-loved features in Gowalla are: 1) adding photos and comments to your own check-ins and friends’ check-ins, and 2) finding, trading, and dropping off virtual items (some of which are able to be exchanged for tangible goods). Enjoy!
Seems great, but a lot more functionality if you had an iPhone (GPS and such).
How about you add in those tags.
Actually, seems a little bit too much like Foursquare.
Sorry, forgot about the tags
Ha, I do too to be honest sometimes.
