Here it is, the next iPhone. Apple introduced this in this year’s WWDC event. The iPhone 4 starts off with a new sleek and slim design. The iPhone 4 is now 9.3 mm thin, which is as thin as your iPod touch. Compared to the 3GS, this is 24% thinner. Steve Jobs said that the back is now glass with an oleophobic coating. The back does concern me because glass can crack easily. The iPhone 4 now has an Apple A4 chip, which is the same processor as the iPad. We don’t know the clock speed of the A4, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be pretty quick. Apple added 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, and a gyroscope for enhanced motion. The iPhone 4 did get a major screen upgrade. The screen is still 3.5 inches, but now has an amazing resolution of 960×640 and it has Apple’s IPS screen technology. The camera also did get a big upgrade. The camera is now 5 mega pixels and has 720p recording at 30fps. Also, there is now a VGA camera on the front, located next to the ear piece. It is mainly used for Face Time, which is Apple’s video conferencing software. Face time is Wi-fi only and it’s only iPhone compatible. Apple promises better battery life. The iPhone 4 will have 7 hours of 3G talk time, 12 hours of 2G talk time, 6 hours of 3G browsing, 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, and 300 hours of stand by. The iPhone 4 now comes in all black, and all white. The iPhone 4 comes in two sizes and two prices, 16GB for $199, and a 32GB for $299. It will be available on June 24.
