The people at HTC announced the Desire Z. It’s really a Nexus One/HTC Desire, with a “pop out” 3 row keyboard (more on that later). It has a 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 CPU, possibly 512MB of RAM, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and 802.11 Wi-Fi. On the software side, it features an enhanced version of HTC Sense, which contains this feature called pre-cached Maps and the new HTCSense.com services.

Now, on to that keyboard. This keyboard looks like a regular keyboard, but it’s the mechanism that’s unique. This doesn’t slide out, but it “pops up”. Just take a look at the picture on the right and you’ll see what I mean.

This phone will come out around October in Europe and Asian markets.
