Are you getting tired of the iPad? Do you hate Apple? Do you like the iPad, but wished it had Android on it? Well, your dreams has been full filled from the folks at Samsung. Introducing the Tab, Apple’s first serious competitor to the iPad.

Samsung wants to make sure that you get a good experience on the Tab, so they’ve added a 1GHz processor and 512Mb of RAM. The Tab has a 1024×600 7 inch Super TFT display, which will make videos, photos, apps, etc. look excellent. For connectivity, there’s Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and GPS to make sure you’re not lost in the Apple Store. (Just kidding about the Apple Store Part) The design of the Tab looks very much like an iPad. It has a big display bezel, volume buttons on the right, a 30-pin dock connector on the bottom, and speakers on the right. With those similarities, it looks like a mini iPad, with Android. Speaking of Android, the Tab features Android 2.2 Froyo and since this is Google certified, it will have the growing Android Market. Samsung decided to add their TouchWhiz UI, which will give the Tab a very iPhone-esque look.

So far, where’s no word on pricing and availability. Now, Samsung did say that you can only buy the Tab through carrier only.

What are your thoughts on the Tab? Do you think this is an iPad killer?

When reading the first 2 questions my response was "no, No, NOOOO!" Why would you put an, in my mind, unfinished OS on such a great device as the iPad? ;) Apple fanboy OUT!

Android > iOS. Android FTW. lol

Yes, Android FTW! :PThough, I personally feel that Google needs to work on the UI. They need to make it more streamline and user friendly. Google also needs to stop this fragmentation issue. This is usually why it's hard to develop on the Android platform.

Fanboy... just kidding. I think that the Tab won't be successful. With the iPad's popularity and the excitement, people are just going to get the iPad, same with the iPhone. When you go to my school, you'll see iPhones everywhere. From iPhone 4's to 3GS', it's iPhone MADNESS! :P
