Since the day that I opened my iPad, weeks after it was released, I have been looking for cases to protect it. But just like every other device case, it also needs style and functionality. If a case was just for protection what would stop us from wrapping our devices in duck tape and calling it a day, well other than our sanity. But luckily cases like the IC-1000BK have come along and solved this issue, and yes without duck tape! So lets get into the review, I present to you the IC-1000BK by Cyber Acoustics.

This case from it’s start has been given props and great reviews from the start. Other tech reviewers like Chris Pirillo have given the IC-1000BK great reviews! I can’t help but agree with them, this case is made to such a standard it not only looks great, but it also doesn’t add much bulk, or extra weight. The leather exterior gives a nice “professional” look to your device as well as making it easier to hold on to and preventing it from slipping.

The IC-1000BK can  be folded two other ways then the, obvious, closed position. It’s front cover can be bent back and rested against the extra piece of leather on that back so your iPad is held up at about a 70 degree angle that is great for watching movies as well as if you were going to use your iPad as a digital photo fame when not in use! Also it is capable of propping up the top of the iPad (as seen to the left) for an optimal typing experience.

The case also has two stretchable cloth bands on the top and bottom of the cover (as seen in the picture to theright) that allow the case to be shut and stay closed when not in use, something that other cases like the Apple iPad case are unfortunately lacking. Also on the interior cover is a wider center band that could be used for something like a notepad or something of similar size.

As far as comfort and style go, I don’t think you could ask for more. It has a slight amount of cushion, so it is comfortable to hold onto. Also, the iPad is securely held in by 4 hard rubber hands that are all hooked together under the iPad, securing it in place! The design of this case makes all of the rockers, ports, and external buttons usable when they are needed but it also has a slight lip to prevent the accidental use of the various external controls.

This case is a model iPad case, and other manufacturers should take some notes, with their iPads of course! Pricing and other information is below!

Almost every time I help somebody with, or fix, their computer I get the same question how did you learn all of this? Well, that starts us off. I am a self taught graphic designer, technology enthusiast, social media junky, and die hard (yet not obsessive) Apple fanboy. I am the proud owner of many iDevices and soon enough a MacBook Pro. One of my favorite pass times is hang out with friends so, when I am not typing out the latest news in the tech world,I am most likely hanging out with friends either in person or on Facebook, Twitter, or now Google+.
