We all know that Verizon is planing to deploy it’s 4G or LTE network by the end of this year and will have devices that will support it. Well, Verizon has released a statement saying to expect 3G phones for another decade. Here’s their statement:

We’ll still be growing our 3G network for some time,” he said. “We’ll be adding to it for years and selling 3G devices well into this decade, possibly through the end of the decade.”

I’m thinking that they are doing this because 4G will only be available in 30-40 cities by the end of 2010. Maybe soon, they’ll have 4G everywhere and will start focusing on 4G phones.
