Recently, AT&T dropped the price of the 3GS to $49 with contract; it seems like Apple is doing it also. As you know, the iPhone is the budget device in the iPhone family. It only comes in an 8GB black flavor. Of course, you could get the iPhone 4 for extra features, but this is still a great device.

But, why did AT&T lower the price? Maybe this is a sign of the Verizon iPhone that might be coming tomorrow. No matter what, we’ll definably cover the Verizon event.
