The Samsung Galaxy Player is essentially the Android equivalent of an iPod Touch – full functions of a phone running Android/iOS, without the phone part. It runs Android 2.2 (Froyo), and features a 1GHz Hummingbird processor. Apart from that, the specifications are pretty standard.

-Hummingbird processor @ 1GHz

-Android  2.2 Froyo

-4″ Super-Clear LCD screen

-800×480 pixel resolution

-3.2 Megapixel rear facing camera

-Front-facing camera of VGA quality

-Bluetooth 3.0

-Wi-Fi

-Micro-SD Slot

-Memory: 8GB, 16GB, 32GB

The Samsung Galaxy Player is obviously a direct competitor to Apple’s iPod Touch, but I think it’s safe to say that the iPod Touch is still the favourite for most people.

I've been fascinated with technology my entire life. I started to pick up on aspects of web development (HTML and CSS) a long time ago and started to get into "real" programming soon after. Right now, you can catch me working with Objective C, making iPhone apps along with system administration, and security. I'm also interested in graphic design, having designed the entire Tech Cores theme myself.
