Speck really surprised me with this quite unique looking and awesome feeling case. The Candy Shell for HTC Incredible is well, Different! This case offers a clean color scheme of red and black (that matches the phone perfectly). The material is a think rubberized silicone insides with a tough plastic paint on the outside. This case will defiantly protect a drop… down a flight of stairs. This case packs so much protection into a small ergonomically package.

The Good

What I like most about the case had to be the design. The case matches the sports car like red and black theme. The feel of the case is also great, it gives you a bit of a “stick” in your hand and it makes you feel sure you wont drop the phone. Even if you did drop this phone, this case has you covered! The durability  of this case is great, the tough silicon on the inside acts as a shock absorber. Last, I love how this case is so compact and provides a decent (but not too much) amount of bulk.

The Bad

This case really caught my attention visually, although there were some things on this case that just didnt click with me. The home/ power button (as well as the volume toggles) are covered by a piece of thick silicon. This may provide protection, but it makes it nearly impossible to press the buttons. I press the sleep button on an average of  twice every couple minutes and I still cannot adjust. Next, I am happy I did not have to pay for this case because I believe the price is way too high. At $30, I would expect much better out of this case. Speck has know to make great iPhone cases, I think they should stick to iPhone because non iphone cases are not looking to good.

The Conclusion

If you are the type of person that will take a great looking case over usability or just have very strong fingers, this case is great for you. But for the rest of us, I think this case is just can overpriced hard to use case. I personally love Speck but this case is just not a good product. I dont recommend you buy this case unless you have the $30 laying around to test it out.

I've been fascinated with technology my entire life. I started to pick up on aspects of web development (HTML and CSS) a long time ago and started to get into "real" programming soon after. Right now, you can catch me working with Objective C, making iPhone apps along with system administration, and security. I'm also interested in graphic design, having designed the entire Tech Cores theme myself.
