2010 has been a big year for all tech manufactures. This year, tablets like the iPad and the Galaxy Tab have been selling like crazy, Android had a big milestone in sales, and much more. Since 2011 begins tomorrow, I saw some devices that I think are exciting.

A Verizon iPhone

This is probably the most talked about topic in 2010. When ever I go to an Apple Rumor site, I always see Verizon iPhone and it’s really annoying. But, if it ever comes to Verizon, less than half will switch over because of AT&T’s expensive termination fee.

Besides the Verizon rumor, we could possibly see a new antenna design and hopefully a bigger screen on the iPhone 5.

iPad 2

The iPad 2 is rumored to have little improvements such as front and rear cameras, a new design, better CPU and RAM, new design, and hopefully a lower price. Rumors say that Apple will make a Verizon and AT&T versions of the iPad.

The First 3D Handheld Console – Nintendo 3DS

In May 2010, Nintendo introduced the next generation DS, featuring a 3D screen. The 3DS will have graphics that are as good as today’s consoles, and three cameras (One front, two back for 3D photos). It goes on sale in March and will cost about $300.

HP webOS Tablet

Jon Rubenstien said that they have a great tablet coming on it’s way. It will obviously have webOS and rumored to have a similar form factor as the HP Slate 500. Also, there are some leaks of a mysterious keyboard that’s made for webOS. This tablet might come around 2011.

The PSP Phone

This rumor has been going on for quite some time now and people has been speculating almost everyday. People went nuts when they saw this leaked photo. It’s code name is “Zeus Z1″. It will have either Android 2.2 or 2.3, 1GHz CPU, and 512MB of RAM.

I think that this phone will revolutionize mobile gaming, simply because it’s a fully featured smartphone and a handheld console, all into one device. The question is, will this succeed?

Verizon and AT&T both have terrible rates and restrictive contracts. It really doesn't matter to me -- either you get better US coverage on CDMA, or you get better worldwide coverage with GSM while paying exorbitant rates. Ah, I love my $50/month contract-free unlimited text/web + 500 talk plan from T-Mobile... :PI think there should be a $300 iPad -- then I might consider buying one.The PSP phone seems like an extremely tacky design to me. I think Sony can integrate "PSP-like" gaming features into an otherwise "normal" phone, which would be better.
