Since 2008, Apple and Verizon have been secretly testing a CDMA iPhone. A few days ago a few hundred people got invites to a Verizon event that immediately brought up the question, Verizon iPhone? Today the secret came out, yes, at 11:06AM, Verizon (for a shock) announced its latest partnership with (drum roll please) Apple!

This was probably the best time for Verizon to announce this after the big 4G LTE announcement from them and also them stating “iPhone 4 is going to run on our network… network capacity — we have advanced the capacity and built margin into it. We’re ready for this launch.” The iPhone will be released on February 10th at price points of $199 for the 16GB and $299 for 32GB with a mobile hotspot included that can handle up to 5 devices.
