The Dell streak was one of the first major competitors to the iPad back in 2010, but was short lived after the more popular Samsung Galaxy tab made it’s arrival. It seems that with a new year, comes a new Streak. One of the main differences between the original Streak and this latest one is the screen size. We are seeing a screen size increase from 5″ to 7″. The new Streak also has a resolution of 480×800.

The device is running Android 2.2 (Froyo), and is powered by a dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor. It features a rear facing 5 megapixel camera, as well as a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera, allowing video conferencing. It’s got 16GB of internal storage (expandable by an SD card slot) and bluetooth 2.1.

The Dell Streak 7 seems like a big competitor to Apple and their iPad, but with the iPad 2 expected to show up in the next month or so, it won’t be long until this battle kicks off again.

No pricing is available as of yet, but the Dell Streak 7 will be heading on in over the next few weeks.

Dell Stage on Droid Xhttp://techcores.com/2010/11/dell-stage-on-droid-x/ http://techcores.com/2010/11/dell-stage-on-droid-x/#comments Mon, 08 Nov 2010 03:22:57 +0000 Taylor Jasko http://2.7313

Have you heard of the Dell Streak? If you have, you would know it’s a 5” android tablet running the outdated 1.6. Well I recently got my hands on a leaked build of 2.2 for the Dell Streak and threw it on my Droid X. The launcher is highly unusable because of constant force closes. Although, the widgets are amazing and show major improvements from the previous version of android on the Dell Streak. This launcher is called Dell Stage. Watch the video below for a little taste of froyo on the Dell Streak running on the Droid X (Try saying that 5 times fast). Also, all these widgets can only be used while using the Stage launcher.

The Dell Inspiron Duo: A 10 inch Netbook/Tablet Hybridhttp://techcores.com/2010/09/the-dell-inspiron-duo-a-10-inch-netbooktablet-hybrid/ http://techcores.com/2010/09/the-dell-inspiron-duo-a-10-inch-netbooktablet-hybrid/#comments Tue, 14 Sep 2010 22:17:13 +0000 Jeffrey Low http://techcores.com/?p=6069 Gee, this could be the craziest thing I’ve seen from Dell! It’s a netbook/tablet hybrid with a swivel hinge. This product reminds me of the IdeaPad U1, but you can’t rip out the display.

Now, there’s not a lot of detailsl about this computer, but we know it has an Intel Atom processor, a 10 inch touchscreen, and Windows 7 Home. So far, there’s no word on pricing yet, but it should be coming around April.

Phone Makers Need A Wrench!http://techcores.com/2010/04/phone-makers-need-a-wrench/ http://techcores.com/2010/04/phone-makers-need-a-wrench/#comments Fri, 30 Apr 2010 23:12:09 +0000 Marc Billow http://2.3900

Ok, we all heard about the iPhone “4G” leak, it became viral within hours, then Dell, and other companies followed. Now, either Apple poked a pin hole into a high pressure line that burst or these leaks aren’t done on mistake. Though these prototypes all look cool and modern, just like they all do, but it leaves us bloggers and consumers some curiosity. Don’t forget “curiosity killed the cat”! Now I know people have there opinions about these so called “leaks”. My personal opinion is that, well, the iPhone was real ( we all know that, and so does the Gizmodo’s reporters door), but the fact that a day or two after Dell leaked three phones and then other companies followed in a what i can coined “faucet parade”. So, what is your opinion about this “leaking” pipe?

The Dell Flashhttp://techcores.com/2010/04/the-dell-flash/ http://techcores.com/2010/04/the-dell-flash/#comments Thu, 22 Apr 2010 00:42:48 +0000 Jeffrey Low http://2.3660 Today, 3 Dell phones had been leaked and now, this one?! Dell is on the roll today! Ok, on to the Dell Flash. The Dell Flash has a 3.5 inch WVGA screen, 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with image stabilization and smile/blink detection, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, and Android Froyo, which has not been released yet. Now, the Dell Flash isn’t going to be as powerful as the Thunder and the Lighting. This phone will be on AT&T and will be unlocked.

The Dell Thunderhttp://techcores.com/2010/04/the-dell-thunder/ http://techcores.com/2010/04/the-dell-thunder/#comments Thu, 22 Apr 2010 00:10:34 +0000 Jeffrey Low http://2.3656 Wow, Dell is on fire today! First, there was the leaked Dell Lightning and now, the Dell Thunder. The Thunder has the same specs as the Lighting except for the 8 Mega Pixel autofocus camera with flash, Adobe Flash 10.1,  and a heavily skinned version of Android 2.1. This phone looks classier than the Aero, which is Dell’s second Android phone. Dell’s “Stage” UI is focused on Social Networking, which has both FaceBook and Twitter integration. This phone will be coming to AT&T and an unlocked version of the same device.

The Dell Lightning Leaked. The Ultimate Windows Phone?http://techcores.com/2010/04/the-dell-lightning-leaked-the-ultimate-windows-phone/ http://techcores.com/2010/04/the-dell-lightning-leaked-the-ultimate-windows-phone/#comments Wed, 21 Apr 2010 23:27:03 +0000 Jeffrey Low http://2.3650 Today, the Dell Lightning was leaked and looking at this phone, I think it might be the ultimate Windows Phone. The Lightning has a slide out QWERTY keyboard, 1GHz Snap Dragon Processor, WVGA 4.1 OLED display, a 5 Mega Pixel autofocus camera, 1GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, 802.11 b/g/n, compass, FM Radio, GPS, and has AT&T’s 3G bands. As you can see, the phone has some awesome specs and the design is executive as heck. The only thing that I don’t like is the portrait slider. I prefer a horizontal or even no keyboard. (I prefer virtual keyboards and I can type faster on them.) Overall, I think this phone is awesome and could impress the tech world.

The Dell Aero is AT&T’s Second Android Phone!http://techcores.com/2010/03/dell-aero-atts-second-android-phone/ http://techcores.com/2010/03/dell-aero-atts-second-android-phone/#comments Wed, 31 Mar 2010 05:02:50 +0000 Jeffrey Low http://2.2783 The Dell Aero was revealed back in CTIA and this is the company’s first smartphone. The Dell Aero features a heavily skinned version of Android 1.6, a 3.5 inch screen at a resolution of 640×360, 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, and GPS. The Aero’s design is sleek and claims to be the lightest Android phone in the market. I believe AT&T removed GMail, Google Maps, and other Google related services. So far, Dell hasn’t released a lot of specifications about this device. Also, there has been no word about pricing and availability just yet.
